Traditionally, environmental intervention and social intervention have been considered as two independent areas, with certain points in common, but with their own and separate methodologies and strategies. However, it is currently considered necessary to integrate these dimensions so that the interventions are really sustainable and the effects of these are appreciated both in improving the quality of our environment, and in the health and well-being of people and communities.
In this context, the PSICAM Environmental Psychology Association organizes this day to serve as a meeting between professionals from different disciplines, in order to share good practices of psychoenvironmental intervention in areas such as mobility, urban design, natural environment management, health, etc. In these interventions, special attention has been given to human behavior in the environment. It is expected that the day will highlight the usefulness of the knowledge developed by Environmental Psychology in the analysis and treatment of some of the problems facing today’s society with the purpose of generating tools that facilitate a symbiosis between the world of academic and professional practice.
Psycho-Environmental Intervention: Sharing experiences
The knowledge developed by Environmental Psychology is useful to respond to some of the main challenges of today’s society (mobility, health, climate change …) since its activity generates tools that promote a symbiosis between the world of academia and that of professional practice
The day will present several environmental interventions in which special attention has been given to human behavior in the environment, both natural and urban.
