Sound Stories of COVID19

#stayathome #stiamoacasa#estamosencasa #soundscovid19 #paisajesensorial

Suddenly our environments have changed, silence has seized our cities, and our public spaces were lived from our balconies. We have lived the social and political through many filters. In almost the entire world people have been confined in quarantine, and in some places, people are still living in confinement. Through sound, we want to share the sensory experience of this very exceptional situation and document our lived experiences in our private spaces. We also want to document life outside of our houses: the conflicts and protests that have broken out around the world, our reunion, and our return to the “new normal.” How does it sound where you are? What perceptions, sensations, images, or memories accompany these sounds? What stories can you tell from these sounds?

Send us your audio or video recording, or a voice recording of you talking about your experience with sound, or any audiovisual material, such as written texts, poems, photos, images, or improvisations…anything that the surrounding world of sound suggests to you. Through sound and the soundscape, we want to take note of the changes we have experienced in our lives and in our world during and after quarantine and confinement.

Submission instructions:

Recordings should be two minutes or longer, only sound, using a stable camera with sound and video functions.

Use the best quality professional or non-professional equipment possible.

We would like to know your opinion about the soundscape of your environment. would you answer this questionnaire? Thank you very much.https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9JrfLg_guNpeUGdrSBjLZRZCWZujKCBkZIf8WnRqLb3Sr2g/viewform
